Uniontown and the factory streets
Uniontown dates to the 1860s. Warburton, Washington, and the attached houses near the water were built for factory workers, not for a broken-up estate. If you live on these streets, the thing your house replaced was industrial Hastings, not a manor lawn.
Hastings had waterfront industry while the hill held country places with names like Burkeley Crest and Elmcroft. Those hill estates became Riverview Manor, Hudson Heights, Shado-Lawn, and Ravensdale. Downtown stayed a different pattern.
