How Dale Ledger is built
People (and AdSense reviewers) deserve a straight answer: what is original here, and what is public record?
What is public record
Assessed values, owners as published, parcel identifiers, class codes, and many permit/agenda texts originate with municipalities or their vendors (including PROS). We do not invent those facts.
What Infarill LLC adds
- Compilation & search — residential filtering, address normalization, street hubs, and a query grammar (“over 3m”, “tax over 80k”, school-zone phrases).
- Tax engine — published mill rates applied consistently, with STAR when exemption codes exist, and explicit omissions called out in rate JSON metadata.
- School-zone mapping (Scarsdale) — street/range rules derived from public attendance boundaries, labeled as unofficial helpers.
- Editorial guides — pages like this one, written to explain the system in plain English.
- Machine-readable exports — llms.txt, town/property Markdown corpus for AI citation, sitemaps.
Quality bar we hold ourselves to
- Every estimate links out to an official confirm URL.
- Missing data is labeled (e.g., Rye prior-year stubs) instead of faked.
- Demo fallback parcels must never silently look like production if live JSON fails — we surface a demo flag.
- Permits unlock copy must not claim you watched an ad if you did not.
