Sherbrooke Park / Goldsmith estate
Walter J. Collet cut Sherbrooke Park from the Max Goldsmith estate in 1939. Beechwood Lane is named for a copper beech on the property. A one-foot strip along the Hutchinson River still belongs to the association so no street can punch through from New Rochelle.
Collet also built Dolma Road (1926) and named Pinecrest Road for a pine on a knoll. Brookline Road sits beside the village line — actually the Hutchinson River.
