Richmond Hill

Richmond Hill Lane sits on the old Richmond Hill estate. Dr. Lucien Warner built a 41-room house on about 13 acres off Harriman Road and South Broadway around 1890. The house burned in 1979. The townhouses on the hill are what replaced it.

The place was also called Cromont, Osborne Terrace, and Richmond Terrace. Later owners included American Tobacco president George Washington Hill and North American Philips. Stone walls and gate posts from the estate are still on the ground.
