Old Orchard Lodge / Carstensen

This street sits on John Carstensen's place, Old Orchard Lodge. The estate was cut in 1925. Carstensen Road keeps his name. Old Orchard Lane — the short private way — was named in 1948 for the lodge. The longer Old Orchard Lane was renamed Crane Road that year.

Lederer puts the lodge on the Fox Meadow side of the village. Olmsted had already worked the Butler ground next door. The orchard name is the one that stuck on the leftover lane.
