North End / Hyatt tract

This street was cut from Oliver Hyatt's land. The North End Land Improvement Company bought 45 acres in 1891 and named the roads for officers and their families — Alida, Brambach, Brown, Potter, Lee.

The tract sat in both Scarsdale and Eastchester. Hyatt Field, at Boulevard and Potter, is named for Supervisor Oliver A. Hyatt, who lived at 937 Post Road. The company also named Dunwoodie Road; a brook still runs there instead of pavement.
