Murray Hill
Scarsdale Estates, led by Robert Farley, developed Murray Hill in 1909. Cooper Road is for James Fenimore Cooper, who lived for a short time nearby at Angevine Farm. Murray Hill Road was meant to sound like the Manhattan neighborhood.
Farley was the same operator who was opening Greenacres that year. Murray Hill is the eastern Farley plat, on the Heathcote side of the village.
