Milton Point
Milton Road and Kirby Lane run the length of Milton Point, the neck that held Rye's shore estates before the lots were cut. The American Yacht Club still sits at the end of the point.
Milton was a separate hamlet with its own school and churches before it was absorbed into the city pattern. The point stayed estate land later than the village grid around the railroad.
