Matthiessen and Jaffray Parks
After World War I, Irvington's larger places were cut into Jaffray Park, Matthiessen Park, and Spiro Park. Jaffray Court and Matthiessen Park are the street names that still say so.
The village timeline is blunt: country estates in the late 19th century, then sold for development before World War II. Many of the houses are gone. A few remain. These named parks are the plats that replaced them.
