Halsted property
Halsted Place sits on the Halsted property that was cut about 1910, the same years as Loudon Woods. The Rye Historical Society names it with the first suburban wave near the Knapp House.
The Halsteds sold land to the railroad in the 19th century and later filed house lots. This is the street that still carries the name.
