Colonial Acres
Thomas Callahan developed Colonial Acres in 1946. Black Hawk, Continental, and Mayflower are his streets. This is the plat that produced Scarsdale's 1950 anti-look-alike law.
A half-acre burial ground on Colonial Road had been set out in Nathaniel Brown's 1854 will; when the corporation died in 1947 the town took it. The one-acre park at Black Hawk and Continental was donated with the subdivision.
