Angevine Farm

This ground was Angevine Farm, where James Fenimore Cooper lived for a time. Later plats here include Heathcote Hills (1956) and a 1976 cut of the Eastman property. Cayuga, Oneida, Seneca, and Leatherstocking are Cooper-book street names from those later maps.

Lederer wanted Brookfield Lane named Angevine Lane in 1983. The first buyer said it sounded like a pizza parlor. The Planning Board switched to Brookfield. Black Walnut Lane (1984) sits on the Angevine-Hatfield-Morris house lot at 164 Mamaroneck Road.
